Assalamu'alaikum wr wb hi my name is Rahmanda frm eleven science 8.so,have u guys ever had a burden in your mind that u realise u haven't do any improvement in life,especially in this pandemic time,we literally got a lot of free time and some people use it to be more productive while the others just lay in bed with their gadget scrolling through social media,watching youtube,playing games and any other activities that is waste of time.

And majority of these people are student,they procastinate their homework from online class and spend most of their time on phone.As a procastinator myself,i always feel guilty when i realise that i really wasting my time when i procastinating by surfing in social media,watching random videos on youtube,playing games,sleep a lot,and other things.And then when i realise i haven't do any improvement such as studying,praying,do homework,exercising,etcI feel overwhelmed by feelings of guilt and worry about the consequences that I will receive in the future. From there I start to generate a desire to live a more productive life by getting rid of the things that can bother me when I want to make a change.

 From there I found a method called Dopamine detox, where with this method we can reset our brains by fasting to do pseudo-pleasure, which is getting pleasure in an easy and short way so that it makes us addicted and complacent, such as exploring social media, playing games. , video streaming is not clear, sleep a lot, etc. Fyi, Dopamine is an organic chemical that plays an important role as a hormone and neuro transmitter in the body and brain to make us want something, and with the desire we become motivated to do something so that we can achieved our wish.

 On this occasion I will describe several ways to do this dopamine detox:

 Professor Cameron Sepah, the person who developed the Dopamine detox practice, wrote down several ways that can be applied when doing Dopamine Detox. There are at least three main ways.

 First, placing objects that can be a stimulus, such as cellphones, in locations that are difficult to access.

 Second, doing alternative activities that are not in accordance with the stimulus. For example, exercise can be done to avoid the urge to overeat when the mind is stressed.

 Third, use applications to block certain websites that trigger addiction.

 In addition, Dopamine Detox can also be done by exposing oneself to internal stimuli (negative emotions), without responding. It's like refraining from reaching for your phone when it's easily accessible.

 Actually the concept of dopamine detox already exists in many religions in the world, including Islam, namely by fasting. By fasting, we can be required to refrain from only eating & drinking but also refraining from lust and also wasted activities, so that our time tends to be filled with productive things such as worship and so on.
